Base 9 Condominiums: Keeping a Breckenridge Board’s Books Local

Base 9 Condominiums in Breckenridge moved its accounting to Powder Accounting Group in November 2025, after the association’s longtime local bookkeeper sold their practice.

What the board wanted

The board wanted what it had always had: a local firm it could call and reach a real person. Not a ticket number, not a national call center, and not a two-week wait for an answer.

What we handle

  • Monthly financial packets
  • Bill pay from the association’s own bank, sent only after the board approves
  • The annual budget for its November to October fiscal year
  • The Colorado periodic report and year-end tax work

How it works

The board handles insurance, rules and governing documents. We handle the money. When a board member has a question, they call or email and hear back from someone who knows their books.

“This is just the sort of professional input and guidance the HOA had been sorely missing.”
Kevin, Base 9 Condominiums board, Breckenridge

The real difference

The accounting itself is what any good HOA accountant does. What boards notice is that we answer. Being easy to reach is most of what sets us apart, and it’s why boards stay.
